) Have you seen our new village litter pickers out and about keeping our village litter-free? We are a small number of residents that have started litter picking to help tidy up the area and protect the wildlife. We do need more help to get the job done, so anyone that would like to help keep our village and countryside clean, please take a look at the Croft Litter Wombles Facebook page. Blaby District Council will provide litter picking equipment to residents. To order yours, contact waste.cleansing@blaby.gov.uk and they will organise this for you for FREE. We try to just do an hour or two a week, as we all have busy lives. But any time at all anyone can offer is big help. Once a month, or once a year, it all makes a difference. So far in 3 weeks 22 bags of litter have been collected from the outskirts of the village by residents.
